If Russia left Poland in 1945, things might have been different. Another 50 years of killing, raping and stealing from the Poles was not the best way to make friends.

Still I'm Happy to answer your question "what the Poles did to the Jews". Most of the time they sheltered them. In fact out of all the countries occupied by the Germans Poland was the only one where helping a Jew was punishable by an instant death. Also for the record, 7 mln Polish people died in WWII, out of them "only" 3 mln were of Jewish origin.

Poles represent the biggest group of honored nationals for saving Jews during the Nazi occupation while risking their own and their family lives. As for the E. Germans ? There were never E.Germans. It was an artificial monster created by Soviet Union by dividing Germany. So if you ask me, they were Germans who in most cases invaded and conquered Poland. Also don't forget that Soviet Union grabbed by force 1/3 of Polish territory in 1939 and was not going to give it back. So during Big 3 Powers meetings in Teheran and Jalta, as a form of compensation for lost land to Russia, Poland received some German territories. That resulted in deportations of Germans, either on voluntary basis or by force. However try to focus on why did it happen - because Russia unlawfully stole 1/3 of eastern Poland. And if you feel sorry for any deportations, why don't you cry after tens of millions of other nationalities who were forced to relocated by Germans and russians alike.

You say that Soviet Union was barely better for Poland than Na+zi Germany with the Auschwitz concentration camp. Why then the Soviet Union was an ally of Great Britain with the PM Winston Churchill and USA with president Franklin Roosevelt during the years of WWII? They did not object the entrance of Soviet army into Poland , and of course nobody objected the liberation of Auschwitz camp.

@Is the Soviet Union invaded eastern Poland in 1939 2 weeks after the #$%$ invaded the west. It was divided up in a treaty. So look it up if you don't believe me.

Germany declared war on the US in 1941 hoping to draw Japan in on a declaration of war on the Soviet Union. The US followed by declaring war on Germany. So I have no clue where you get your dates from.

The Nazis were not only German. They were widespread througtout Europe. Croatians for example, killed a million Serbs. Bulgarians, Romanians, Hungarians, Italians, Austrians, Polish... all had Nazi troops and were deployed to Russia...
