India makes panic key a must for all mobiles from next year

All mobile phones sold in India will have to have a panic button from the start of next year, an official said Tuesday, as the country grapples with large numbers of sex crimes against women.[CN]

The button would allow users to call emergency services by pressing a single key on their phone, a telecommunications ministry official told AFP.[CN]

"No cell phones can be sold without the provision for panic button from January 1, 2017," he said, requesting anonymity.[CN]

What about a Special Button for men "equal rights education 101". Or what about a button to eradicate gender differences. Or what about a button to finish once and for all the caste system. India has great minds in fields like science, mathematics and so on. But, they lack common sense in so many other aspects of life and is drowning their own culture deeper and deeper. A button will never solve the depth of the problem as long as they keep promoting the vision of women as less evolved beings, no matter how many goddesses they have in their religious pantheon. Beautiful country from the outside but is rotten from the inside.[CN]
