Absolutely no flavor. Or how about spirting in your seafood Chow Fun at Shuang Chen or at stupid Peking Garden. Either way a few less #$%$ make no difference.

You must be joking. I've been living in Beijing for three years now and have witnessed a lot of boorish behavior by "wannabe toughs". Violence and vandalism are common.

Unfortunately this is relatively normal behavior in the lower classes of China. They know there is little recourse from the government or police so they take things into their own hands. In addition, it would not be welcome for a foreigner to intervene. Probably not a good idea. Better to just walk away.
