Its funny how comments here suggest that chinese technology does not out do american technology (war related). But what they failed to address was the fact that the USA + Allied can't even defeat The taliban + ISIS who have non of the above technologies but here people think that USA can defeat a real army??? LMAO

The latest US Nimitz class nuclear carriers cost $15 billion. China's first carrier cost $320m. The second carrier cost $1.5 billion. The fourth one will be nuclear powered and bigger than the American carriers

Don't kid yourselves, people. China has a 200 million man army. They may be slightly behind in some hardware, but they don't spend money on R & D. They steal it, mostly from the US, and that, my friends, will hurt the world in the end. You have no idea.

First that carrier has a ramp so it is not really a carrier but a ski practice ship. Next the exercises I bet are not in North Korean waters and probably in international waters.

When I saw the headline I immediately thought, an aircraft carrier that built itself now this I gotta read, how dissappointing to find out it was just another DM failed headline.

It is a nice looking carrier. China and Russia must remain our allies in order to preserve world peace, in spite of our differences. And the THAAD system in SK is a great necessity to defend our ally, the South, from Kim's missile threat. We all know who will be receiving the first volley of missiles if the truce is ended. Part of the North's indoctrination is to eventually make South Korea part of the North again. And the South is full of refugees from the North who would rather fight and die than go back to Kim. Godspeed.

Weird wording ..."first ever self-built aircraft carrier" ...for a moment I imagined truck loads of IKEA flat packs and thousands of squatting workers assembling the self-built kit. with Allen keys, and drills overseen by an admiral working out the confusing paper plan assembly manual...
