They don't seem to have too many helicopters something I thought would be needed in large numbers today.mepal1Reply tothomas20111
Shandong........will be a fully operational combat carrier, just as their first carrier was announced as a fully combat carrier. Of course they do training, but that is not the sole purpose of these vessels, as they are heavily armed, and would be used if needs be in a conflict it one arose.BunmiO
What's the point of all these aircraft carriers anyway, in high scaled war, they are not invisible and can be sunk by a determined force, then what, does it justify all the cost and lives that would be on board.Mind BurnerReply toBunmiO
Nonsence. You have been watching homeland for too long. Very few nations have look down satellite tracking like the US. Carriers move and have layered defenses. Anyone taking a pot shot at a carrier group will feel the wrath of over 500 tomahawk missile raining down If carriers were so rubbish why is everyone trying to build more of them.Completely AverageReply toBunmiO
You don't even know what a "high scaled war" is. It's a term you just made up without any real meaning behind it. You think you sound important using it, and that impresses you. ... Here's something for you to think about. In your "high scaled war" did you give any consideration to the fact that a single US aircraft carrier has nearly as many fighter jets as the entire RAF, and more combat aircraft than 85% of the militaries on earth possess? Plus there are a dozen support ships including Aegis equipped destroyers, missile frigates, and attack subs that are dedicated to protecting the carrier? Tell me, in your tiny little mind, just what do you think your "high scaled war" is going to require to get past the more than 1,000 missiles and 75+ fighter jets, plus the ship's own defensive systems and succeed in hitting a US carrier, and just how many countries are capable of it?Joe Hunt.
Bufuses underestimating the potential enemy. Did any of you note that China has 2 billion troops?
