I was out done by Santa last Christmas. My daughter is non verbal and he me asked if she knew Makaton signing. He was a hundred times better than me! I asked him if there was room on his sleigh for more lessons for me because I was useless in comparison! On a serious note him being able to sign was wonderful It made the visit even more special and the smile on my daughter's face made everyone there very happy.Donna L
I think sign language should be taught in schools, we learn French and German but I think sign language is more usefulMaedusaReply toDonna L
I started learning French at primary school - sign language would have been a great addition. When you are at primary school age, your brain is like a sponge, and learning is easy. I have never stopped speaking or studying French, so the same would be true of sign language - which I am trying to learn now as an older person! The Bee
I don't even like kids, and found this to be adorable. I'm a terrible person. I know this. It's why I will neve have children. But dang, that girl's face when realization dawns on her is cute.BykerBoy
All school children should be taught sign language at school as part of the curriculum.
