I cannot think of a single scenario in modern warfare when such a device would be required, let alone even vaguely considered to be an option for deployment.

Imagine all the people that would be falling out of the sky causing collateral damage and death if this went on sale to the public

Hard to believe - that "propulsion unit" doesn't look big enough to hold enough fuel for a flight like the one described, much less the jet engine(s), too. Either this is a fake video, or someone made a stunning breakthrough in jet engine technology.

I see very little opportunity for a military application. Riders would be horribly exposed to enemy fire. Need armor plating-Kevlar etc. That alone would make them too heavy to be useful. Couldn't be used for transporting ammo etc either-again weight. Nope, it'll just be a fun toy for people with money to burn.
