What an absolutely 'NONSENSE' article! I really doubt that any real fisherman, would be "Confused" by the sight of a whale; and certainly wouldn't equate it with an "Alien-like ball". More sensationalist reporting!

Back in the '50s it was a regular occurrence to have whales full of compressed air drawn up onto the deck for dismembering. Pity you if you happened to walk by when one exploded, you'd be covered in intestines. Not a pretty sight but all part of life back in the days when Britain had a whaling fleet.
