Excellent colorization work indeed; a world away - as the subjects of many of those photos are - from the usual uses to which Photoshop is often badly applied. A pity we do not have more "original" colour photos from way, way back; the technology did exist but was unfortunately rarely used: see, for example, the thousands of images made by Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky, including a colour portrait of Leo Tolstoy in 1908.Ken
One can just imagine what Otto Von Bismarck would think of Germany today. and how did Jack Ruby get into that secured underground Police garage.David Bourke
So refreshing to have an interesting and informative article with no Kardashians, flaunting of ample assets or pert posteriors, hints of sideboob, underboob, generous cleavage, pixellated nipples (and middle fingers), tedious puzzles that are apparently sending the entire Internet into a frenzy, hidden snow leopards, etc etc.OldSarum
When you see things in colour it becomes much more relatable, you realise they were people just like us. Thank you Marinaillampu

DM, why can't you do more of this instead of filling our screens with Kartrashians and other flotsam?
