And as usual, the instantaneous popular cry is that the turbulence is all Aeroflot's fault. The crew should have seen it coming, or some similar idiocy. People, listen up: Airlines and airline crew don't control the weather. If you go up there, you're going to find some, sooner or later. Can't tolerate it? Stay on the ground.Searchyourconscience
Always makes me wonder why passengers ignore the pilot when there is turbulence. I'm sure they're just plain stupid.sargirl
I'm afraid that like it or not you are best advised to always keep the belt fastened - even if it isn't tightly on, it's still protection. I bet these people with broken bones were the ones who hadn't kept it on or were out of their seats for whatever good reason. But when sitting it is alwasys advisable to keep it on.I1950
I try to reserve an aisle seat as I have an injured knee but am alarmed at the heavy cabin baggage which passengers struggle to life into the overhead compartments - almost knocking you on the head as they do it. In times of turbulence of course these cases will fall out. Passengers should be made to put heavy cases into the hold but it always boils down to money. Cheap = dangerupnorth
You keep your seat belt on then some numpty who didn't think the rules applied to him and didn't buckle up comes somersaulting down the cabin and lands on your head. The buckles should be wired into the warning system just like a car and people who ignore the lights and warnings without good reason (toilet visit)should be fined for endangering other passengers.
