It might be because we already have pretty good walking robot prototypes. She is a cyborg. So human resemblance will be a big part of her features. I'm not sure why we need cyborgs unless for nefarious or unmentionable purposes. But if we're going to have cyborgs, the hard part will be their human like ability to mimic facial expressions and mannerisms.
