Sorry, this is nonsense..... Flame throwers are specifically designed not to explode when hit. They don¿t pressurise the fuel because the fuel tank getting breached is a very common risk on a battlefield and would kill everyone nearby . A separate pressure tank propels the fuel. It was a lesson learned in the trenches of the WW1. So no, that would not have happened....

Alright, wait a minute... Let's give Sgt. Mitty the benefit of the doubt. If he was a soldier, shot from 2000 m, yet lost his leg, let's thank him for his service and sacrifice. However, Sgt. Mitty your getting a lot of down arrows because you're not acknowledging the amazing soldier who saved the lives of not only the prisoners, they saved the village!! That's amazing. I know it's hard not to be bitter when lost your leg. Your whole lifestyle changed and we thank you for your sacrifice. Oh, if you're really not a soldier.
