It's only like that in the big city's because the china government made housing and schooling benefits regional . If your born in one zone you get cheap housing and schooling in that area you move and u lose the benefits. Outside of the big city you still see miles and miles of empty land just like America

It looks like a different planet to me.

At least they stopped the one child laws, which was leading to too many men with no women to marry... And that doesn't happen naturally nor does it happen exclusively before the baby is actually born, though I don't dare say it here. People will have kids, no matter what. Look at the disease called FFI, and the families that KNOW what awaits their children. It is just sad. Sad to think how hard life is under such conditions, and that there isn't a solution that actually works and isn't cruel - at least not one humans are ever, ever willing to do.
