You over look the serious long term problem of the 1/2/4 dilemma. one child supporting two parents and 4 grandparents. It is a huge structural problem and though more than one kid is possible the single child has become the norm. You will see the success of China even with its bent government statistics actually falling rapidly.

I have heard experts say that if China had adopted a one Son policy the situation in China today would be more balanced. Having too many males is a dangerous position to be in.

These pictures present a very distorted view of China & people here believe it.

Ironically, many are single. Work is number 1 priority with practically no state pension. I pestered a woman of 32 (looks like a tiny Tinkerbell) to give a man she obviously fancied on the metro her email address. She sent me holiday pics with him this year. There must be loads more, destined to be bachelors or left on the shelf. There's also no 'carers allowance' money in China.

As long as they keep the sweet and sour chicken coming, I don't care.
