Me too, it can be difficult to not buy good from China, but it is possible.

Actually it is impossible to avoid buying Chinese goods. The very it equipment you are using to make these posts are either made in China or have components that are. And countries all over the world have there stuff made in China and you don't even know.

halfhand: I agree. It gets harder to not want to hate the whole country even though I know it is stereotyping. But, truly, so many of them are so incredibly stupid! They are killing themselves with pollution and their massive numbers, but seem determined to also kill off so many fantastic species for the most inane reasons! Their ignorance is infuriating!

I have it on good authority that clothing items made from poacher skin makes the wearer immortal.

I've thought for years that, instead of confiscating bear gall or tiger bone, officers should just add arsenic or cyanide to it and let it through. Repeat as necessary, problem solved. (I know, too simple, but I can think about it.)

The Communist party has nothing to gain by trying to educate people in this regard so they won't do anything about it. Most of these 'products' are going to be bought by wealthy Chinese, possibly party members. No point in upsetting them too much. But what can you expect from a country that persecutes members of it's own populace who follow the Falon Gong religion, imprison them indefinitely and there's good evidence to suggest forced organ transplant from them to wealthy Chinese patients. Google organ transplants in China, it's probably the most hideous thing existing in modern times and it's state sponsored by a superpower.
