I'm confused. Why does she currently have a very large obvious scar that goes across her forehead and through an eyebrow, but in photos of the surgery and "leaving the hospital" there is no such scar?

That poor woman. Hopefully she will now be able to do the things she wants to in her life unencumbered by the limitations of her former condition. Truely remarkable what humankind can achieve when they invest focus and intellect into such worthy pursuits and goals. this will benefit an untold number of others in a similar harrowing predicament.Best of luck to you , Joanna.

OMG, bless her heart, and so beautiful now! What all of these different doctors and nurses have done is just BEYOND AMAZING! I don't use the word "amazing" much, as it seems to be so over used by people. But this?!? THIS is amazing.
