I bet the image obsessed lefties never think about the slave labor, I guess their rights don't matter.MalcolmRitchieReply toTumbleweedOnRoute66
Struggling to understand what you're trying to say exactly. MOST people would find those images pretty dreadful - if not disgusting. But you give the impression you think that "lefties" approve of them. Tho Christ alone knows how you come to that conclusion. Just as most "lefties" would regard their rights as important. Which in your mind probably makes them "lefties". You know - in favour of human rights, rights to organise in Unions, rights to representation at Board level, rights to strike. The suspicion is....you don't. On account of that being some form of "commerunerism". Which is it, sunshine?Still Grumpy
But it isn't Apple's iPhone factory!! It's a Chinese owned factory where iPhones happen to be made.iSay
Notice that due to lack of USA influenced diet, they all look so slim and healthy.Goods52
I have to chuckle when I read some of these comments. People here in the West think that their culture, beliefs and values fit other societies, and comment accordingly. Would have thought experiences in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan to name but a few, would have rung a few warning bells. That's why a one-size-fits-all EU can never endure. Brexit.suefre
It makes me never want to own an Apple product again. The human misery is palpable.gamepad
in the meantime, in UK, people steal water from marathons and scam taxpayers of millions of pounds thanks to the broken benefit system while rich people become more rich and poor people become homeless. that is all from Dismaland, your favourite correspondance "the common people". thanks.Jack Reacher
12 hour days? Don't we do that here? Especially doctors, nurses, police etc i.e. jobs controlled by the people who make the laws?JaynlmReply toJack Reacher
A lot of those stated do 12hr days - have you not seen how many hrs a week Drs work? Many jobs do rotating 12hr shifts. Of course there are plenty of abusive employers who would like no maximum working week so that they can rack up their profits while getting the British tax payer to subsidise the pittance they pay.Gervais
Irrespective of how Chinese factories operate, Apple should not be doing this cr@p. Hit them where it hurts, in their wallet and don't buy their pretentious merchandise. Simples.
