On the same day Obama made his threatening speech about the EU the current head honcho of Apple said the same. Yet another US nose in our business Nice to see looking at this how much they 'care' for the workforce.

They care more about 'climate change' and profits than people.

Never! We Brits are not used to hard work and that kind of discipline. We would rather be doomed than work in those conditions.

Obviously the US company Apple are not restricted from selling their products within the EU despite not being a part of it's political union.

Guys, this is a problem in China as a whole, not just in this factory. When we take a look at the world, I think every big factory works like this no matter where it is located.

It's happening in Britain too, though obviously they're trying to keep it quiet. Sports Direct is probably the best known example of this degrading and dehumanising treatment of employees. I have first hand experience of this sort of environment, working at the Boots Distribution Centre in Burton on Trent. The security there is ridiculous, and involved very intimate and embarrassing public searches. I lasted a day before deciding I was not prepared to accept either being given treated like a robot or like a thief.

Amazes me how much cash this company sits on. Try giving something back to your country and employing your own citizens rather than stockpiling cash and not paying your taxes...

You'd be surprised if you found out exactly how much an i-phone costs to manufacture. People are truly ripped off.

Seems like many factory jobs here in the US. Making products they themselves cannot afford.

Whenever I discuss the de m onic world they're creating, my friends always say "what can we do?" To which I respond - "Your little bit, but make it known". No more i-diot phones for me.
