The Chinese economy is only vital for the West because we have made it so. Every penny we spend in China builds up their wealth and diminishes ours. We have given up on so much domestic manufacturing which supported our economy, because we all want to buy cheap. In reality, to support our own communities life has to become more expensive. We need to invest in domestic industry to support our communities and accept that it will cost more. Whilst commodities might be more expensive, paying a higher price for domestic products would be an investment in our own communities where we recycle our wealth instead of giving it away. We need to put value into ourselves again without slipping into the old ways of the 'dark satanic mills'.
