Look England. This is what it's like when you go to work, produce, and earn.zaax
Thats nothing you want to see what the person who answers the 111 NHS line put up with; 16 hours days at minimum wage & most of then are under 21 so the £5.30 & its a lot more stressful than putting iphones togetherDaffodillReply tozaax
STOP complaining , Here in the western world we have NOTHING to complain about we only THINK we have , sit down , Think what you have ,from a bed to top i phone , Now go and watch a film about the streets of India , ............... Anyway you only spend your money on MORE possessions you don't needbankofdad
There work dress is perfectly normal for people working in a clean, static free, electronic assembly environment. The larger the plant the more workers it needs, so that means all those pictures show a large workforce in a normal environment, with a lot of hi-tech security....................cheersTee DeeReply tobankofdad
True. But the pay is bad. Not acceptable. This is the reason Apple is the most profitable company in the world. I'm a designer and have mainly used Apple devices since 1989, though I have PCs. We pay a lot more for our machines than PC buyers do. They are simply better - easier system to operate and much less likely to be hacked. But I would much rather these people were paid and treated better, and that Apple would stop parking their profits overseas - $11 Billion dollars in US taxes skipped in each of the last four years. The company is obscene.Canadian Gal
Very interesting to see -- seems rather impersonal with 50K employees on a given shift. That is massive -- but appears clean, well-organized, very high tech, etc. Also, appears that the workers are all under ~ 30 years of age, then perhaps they move to higher positions? In any case, jobs are cherished & in high demand in countries where easily obtainable benefits are not available -- so I would imagine that just as we have at poultry factories; meat packing plants; prepared food plants (cereals, potato chips, frozen food prep, canning, etc. factories) -- these jobs are desperately needed.Bob52
If we made them here in US the phone would cost 5 grand. Anyone that thinks we can bring this work here is lying to themselves. That supply chain alone would be impossible to change. Politicians are fooling the people about these issues and need supply chain and manufacturing experts as advisors.Nous65
All the pictures hung up are they the ones who have commited hari kiri ? A depressing soulless place . I wonder if they are allowed the radio on ?
