Why One Company Pays its Employees to Go Away for 3 Weeks

My brothers IL company is US based but run by people from UK they close from the second week in December thru the end of January all paid So the owners can go back to UK and all employees can spend time with family.

if you are a small company...you can't afford to do this...if it is extra and above what you normally give...Branson of Virgin Air also gives their moms and dads a year, no? when they become parents...he has a small company, you can't compare his number of workers to most companies....you are not relating apples to apples, you are relating them to oranges

and, FDNY gives their employees 6 weeks, at least, vacation...want to compare them and their work to people who sit at desks behind computers?

This is a company that put its PEOPLE first and that makes it a very strong company. Good people will fight to work for a company that views them as important. I work for UPS and get 6 weeks paid vacations a year.(45 hours per week pay not 40) and 7 option or sick days a year plus 1 personal holiday a year..
