I think this kind of thing happens in many long-term relationships/marriages where both are very busy, running around after kids when they are not working. Perhaps being like ships in the night due to work patterns and child rearing and not taking care of their relationship contributes to people becoming bored. Rather than put the work in on their own relationship, they prefer to find their pleasure with someone else without the responsibility that goes with being in a serious relationshipThey just want to throw caution to the wind, have a meaningless fling and get a bit of excitement back into their life. Is it right?? No. but you can see where a lot of people go wrong. Most people don't want to lose their marriage but people do stupid things when they are bored and lacking excitement in their lives. Especially when they become older and perhaps are having doubts about their own attractiveness and want to prove that they are still desirable to more than just their own partner
