Now UK Christians are in a minority: Number of people who say they do not identify with any religion reaches almost half after doubling in the past three years

I thought Cameron was the new messiah who will save us with the EU heaven, one thing for sure is the way Cameron is going he is going to end up being crucified

I wonder if people will go out of their way to avoid offending Christians now?

If Church leaders for once actually did give a lead and preach that Christianity was the only true religion, and all others were wrong, then perhaps people might give the Church more respect. As it is the Church today bends over backwards not to offend other faiths. People see this, and give it the ( lack of ) respect it deserves.I attend a church which is part of the Church in Wales ( an affiliate of the C. of E. but even more spineless. ) I am 57 and am the youngest regular member of the congregation. That tells another story.

What's going to replace religion??...........Simple minds need Simple explanations.........................

I was stamped into the good old Church of England. That fact will never change. Can`t say the same about the Church of England.

It is good news for some other religion indeed. Wonder what would happen in Europe in some decades. While we care less for our beliefs and values others are very determined to spread and impose their beliefs on us.

That will leave plenty of openings for other eastern religions to take over

Guess what will fill the vacuum ? This country was founded on the Judeo-Christian religion, one of love and peace, and now it is being rejected. This country is in decline and we will all pay for it...

I think there are people like myself who are Christian but due to work commitments [ my case nursing ] do not attend The Church of England ....... also in my town the church goers are not the most friendly of folk, unlike in the village I grew up in.

Many Civilisations have got rid of their 'Religion' and Belief system. They always get another one. Which one do you think that will be in the UK ?

Religion is a defence against a religious experience.

The same religion that teach you to do not believe in them.

So will Christians as a minority group be afforded all the benefits given to minorities?I very much doubt it.

I understand why people want to believe in a book or bible written by man, which supposedly gives us answers to every life problem. People do join together in times of crisis, war, disaster after all we need hope because of mortality. It's fascinating that people can come together and sing hymns/prayers even though they are out of tune and no one cares since its all for one cause to whichever religion it is. Community coming together is a wonderful thing. Humans want to fit in. I wish we did not have to be a part of a religious community but we have our judgemental and condemning society to thank for that. Well except for newspapers they have extreme power over peoples views and choose a side of the story they want to take. Media such as newspapers are the scary modern bible, people preach, take action for stories written within it, be it verbal or physical. It has control over peoples views of what's right and wrong creating hatred and war. My Mother always said no news is good news.

Jesus of Nazereth was not too keen on Organised Religion either. It eventually had to get rid of him and his citicism.

Since there are so many Atheists Christmas holidays should now be abolished and all the other religious school holidays.
