. . . in talks with a number of top clubs? . . . no mention of Liverpoo or City. I thought they were supposed to be top clubs?

If they listed every top club from every top league, it would be too long a list

Money talks. The rich man always gets what he wants. Chelsea and City were nothing 15-20 years ago, now look were they are.

What are you blathering on about EU competition?! No it's not.. I could name a dozen countries not in the EU that have had teams take part in the Champions league.. Stop turning everything into politics?! Or are you really that unknowledgable?

Fireworks, silk, sailboats, strategy of war etc etc etc Your opinion of China seems based on a very scant view of a great nation with a history much older than ours.

^ We were already there around 8000 bc, our ancestors just wrote things down scarcely during that time, also the libraries that had lots of data of this era like Alexandria were lost. Some of the stories are referenced in for instance the Bible still, but ofcourse these stories were exaggerated because of centuries of hear say.

European traders used to importing through the Silk Road, sent traders to figure out the methodology behind silk, and brought it back to Europe. An early promoter of IP infringement if you wish

Well grand Meister I've run factories in China. I can tell you that China has a rich history of invention which Communism halted for a relatively short period. After a brief period of learning China now makes some of the best products in the world, often designed elsewhere but their manufacturing capability is world class. Obviously I don't know about pensions...

More football I won't watch. The best football is watching the Sunday morning game down the recreation ground after seeing all the players down the pub the previous night, so funny:-)

As a lifelong player and spectator now 51 years of age, I can safely say that my beloved game is now dead run globally by suits for self profit.

Oh dear... so he wants a league where the same few teams play each other over and over again.... yawn, yawn. Where we see the same overpaid, narcissistic players competing in ever interchangeable line-ups, where the notion of team and club is somewhat secondary to personal ambition. Errrrr..... no thanks. And, sorry but Manchester Utd hasn't been a 'great' club for some while now. Why haven't Spurs or even Leicester been mentioned?

Good point about Leicester but it's obvious why they wouldn't want Spurs.

Sorry to burst your bubble, in Warrington, (which really is a crap place by the way) but the education system and grades in China are by far higher than they are in the UK pre university. Argue about football, stay on topic otherwise you really look stupid making such pig ignorant comments.

Why on earth does he not put most of it into philanthropic work, such as cancer research rather than us ending up with more pampered footballers.

That's great, as long as the teams involved don't mind being chucked out of UEFA and their own FAs.

the last thing our players need is more money too inflate their ego's - they need to realize they are not worth 260k per week

How about using his massive fortune to help his own people. Starting the Welfare State there so that the poor and needy can afford to eat. That would be a good idea. Not some stupid football club.
