Football stopped being football back in the mid 90's before the likes of Sky got its grubby little hands on it! Before that footballers played for the passion of the game, now it's just about which Club is going to throw obsence weekly 6 figure salaries at them. The likes of Rooney are paid £300,000 or more a WEEK yet can't even make it into the Quarter Finals of the European Championship!

Sad that what started up as a working mans game, has now become a rich man's toy.

It will flop. I still think FIFA should be disbanded and a new honest governing body should be set up.

If it gets off the ground, any revenue from these competitions should not be allowed to be used in the domestic game, as it is already too one sided in favour of the big rich clubs !

British players are already over paid, would be a different case if British players proved their worth by winning.

if we invested as much in people as we do in a game, the world would be a far richer place for all, and I don't just mean money wise.

The usual blackmail story. 'If you don't give us more and more money, we'll run away with our ball and play elsewhere'.Remember that 'Chinese competition' is very different to English competition. Chinese competition is about making money and fixing things for those in with the government.Cartels do as cartels do. That's what is being proposed.

Football is dying - the game might be more and more televised - but the heart and soul of professional football is consumed by greed!
