Couple plague their neighbor with texts asking him to be silent EVERY time their baby has a nap - even when he's being quiet. So who's in the right?

每次女儿睡觉,夫妇皆短信轰炸邻居要他保持安静,即便他不出声时也不例外。谁是谁非呢?

People who want to "drum" should do it in a field.

Sounds made up. Why would some random neighbours have his phone number?

At least she's being polite about it, but why oh why do you feel the need to tell the world about it? Yet another saddo after their fifteen minutes!

Drums are not to be smacked on around toddlers, any fool knows that much. I suggest a good toot on the 'oboe' to get the nipper down. Or a smash on the guitar keyboard. Or simply, a Mick Hucknell record.

He's living in a studio apartment. If he could afford a detached house, likely, he wouldn't be living in a studio apartment.

I am completely with the couple with the small kid - Flats are no place to practice drumming - it must be sheer torture for neighbors even if it is good drumming which I doubt

I'm on the other end of it! Drug addicted neighbours that believe 3am is a social hour. I do not mind noise from any where during respectable times but come the evening it's nice to have a little respect from this around you which is really non - existent these days. They have 2 children under the age of 7 and they have no set bed time snd often run around screaming and laughing at all times and that's on too of the arguments, having other junkies round and extra loud tv! I used to have a problem with my temper so I like to nip it in the bud asap whenever something should arise but these days all that gets you is ignorance and more noise. As for this particular story well,I think it borders on bullying & harassment but having a drum kit in an apartment building isn't the brightest idea.

There used to be the logic that your kids had to tolerate a bit of noise or disturbance or they would never sleep well life long. This is the same perverse logic of constantly disinfecting everything in the house to prevent kids building up resistance to disease. There also used to be a bit of tolerance and goodwill to others, and also a bit of good-natured give and take. ............... NOT ANY MORE. We are educated more by T.V. advertising than we are by school-teachers , and that is SUCH A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T REALISE THE SCALE OF THE BRAIN-WASHING THAT GOES ON.

He sounds like an extremely courteous neighbour, whereas they sound rude, unreasonable and actually quite worrying with their noise fixation. If they go the whole hog and get him evicted (they sound horrible enough to do it), I hope the new neighbour is 10 times worse - karma!

Oh well. I've got 5 kids. I would never expect neighbors to keep quiet to accommodate them. That's not how it works.

Babies tend to sleep better with a little noise going on around them. I use to vacumn and clean up while mine slept all the time. But the drumming in an apartment building does not make for friendly neighbors. Hope they can work it out.

Having an upstairs neighbor, it seems they are making lots of noise all the time, but the reality is the floors are thin, and just them walking is very loud, and it makes it seem like they are jumping. Thats probably what has happened here, every little step, is loud enough to wake us up at night. 8 months of living in an apartment and our neighbors still wake us up, when they get up, every single morning. We can hear them hop out of bed, walk to the bathroom walk to the kitchen, etc. We all have the right to a peaceful living space, if he wants to play the drums that loud, then put some more insulation on the floor.

Does the author here get paid for ripping stories straight off imgur.com? Honestly laziest form of journalism I've ever seen and there must be some expectation of copyright for the poor guy who this happened to?

Sounds like a right nutcase contol freak. Get yourself one of those big bass drums soldiers march with and some symbols that you can smash together. If you hear the baby crying send them a text and ask them if the baby could cry later on.

I'd text every time the brat squawked, complaining about it.

I'm team downstairs neighbor as far as the drumming/amp goes. But as far as chopping vegetables and watching t.v.? Downstairs needs to understand that is part of apartment living. It's not a single family house.

Having read the entire original thread on imgur this article doesn't give you everything. The husband of this woman would come up to his apartment and accost and threaten him. Also, they would play loud music or TV right after texting him to keep it down.
