You know the saddest thing of all ? We are all becoming anaesthetised to the horrors that are going on around us and that worries me . I'm having to block things out because I can't exist being depressed , horrified , constantly saddened and frustrated by the fact that I can't change one bit of it .happyone
Here we go again. The DM and other papers trying to tug at the Heartstrings. It's Not Working.YaaBooSucksReply tohappyone
Well if you were human it would tug at your heart strings. This is just a child. I'm sure he has no political views. He's an innocent and we should always be concerned when the very young are harmed by the evil men do. It doesn't mean we have a solution and it doesn't mean we should get involved but we could help with aid and medicine, and we should have some compassion for those caught in the middle, something you obviously are lacking. You should be ashamed of yourself for such callousness! The Big E
dont blame the united states our fearless leader won the nobel peace price i believe, Barack ObamababygirlsReply toThe Big E
yes, and that says it all about how credible nobel prize had become..i truly dont want to touch your feelings, but try to remember who and when and WHY started this mess in middle east to begin with..and i would like to know how obama deserved to be called brave, please enlighten me if you can.For gods sake lol.
I can't stand the poms who post here. Sadly someone in my family married one and he's a racist idiot tooMr.Boow
This is why we should have never voted out of the EU. All of Europe need to open our borders and continue to allow all of them into Europe and the U.K, because we need to do more to help in this humanitarian crisis. If this little boy makes you sad time it by a million little children affected like this. We in Europe can more than try to make room for them all, not only in our hearts and our minds but in our homes too!!nomorenonsenseReply toMr.Boow
The EU needs to get off its rear and tell USA stop sending arms and funding moderate rebels who are not, giving them arms, and actually killing Syrian civilians in west Aleppo.......but they won't, remember DC saying how he supported 70thousand moderates, this is where it leads to.ObserverReply toMr.Boow
Dangerous rubbish. No we can't make room for them all - I bet a large proprtion of lone child migrants will fairly quickly discover they have families, and those families will demand the right to come to the UK. The HRA and supine judges will allow them. As for the EU, I don't want Britain to be draw into a civil war in Ukraine, or into military conflict with Russia.JimW-4ukipandbritain
im sorry to say but we carnt be bleeding harts.we have to look after are own. he will probably become isis or something.we are all one family (english) and we have to look after each other, not others.derek trotter
Short term pain for long term gain. As ruthless as that sounds the alternative is far worse.Chief Judge DreddReply toderek trotter
The CIA armed and backed rebels against Assad because they dont like him being pals with the Russians and therefore the Russians have a base at the end of the Mediterranean. They caused all this. Allepo was a nice town with good people before their lives were destroyed by this. Where is the LONG TERM gain in Iraq aftervthe US of A destabilised it ?NickGt
This is sad, yes. Heartbreaking, yes. But what about our children and women, who are being abused by men from Syria and similar countries, they could be his father, uncle, brother. This is not our problem, we have enough problems here as is.michaelwagenar
this is the reason you guys (britishers ) need to take all these poor migrants not only to your country but only to your home and share your home ,food ,dresses ,soaps ,tooth brush, cars etc with each of these migrants .had i been pm of england i would have passed a law which makes compulsory for each family to take atleast two migrants to their home.ObserverReply tomichaelwagenar
What utter rubbish you talk? However I am sure arrangements can be made for you, yourself, to take a few. Don't you know our country is full to bursting? Also, some of the wealthiest people in the world live in Arab nations but what have they done to help their own?whatever2016Reply tomichaelwagenar
Are you for real? The worst comment I have seen all week! New Zealand is large enough, how about you take them! As sad as their plight is, countries closer to Syria should be helping. I will not take anyone in to my home and risk my children's safety! You really are a brick short of a building site!
