Gosh ! Isn't real life frightening (for adults) children. Please make sure you're holding Mummy and Daddy's hands next time they watch a (real) nature programme, won't you ..................

Commercial channels give us I'm a celebrity; X factor, TOWIE etc etc. BBC gives us this. Thanks DM for trying to close them down!

The Beeb also gives us the unwatchable Strictly and more baking programmes than in all the previous history of TV put together. This programme is a bright star in an otherwise ocean of dross.

The BBC has always made light entertainment shows that's part of its obligation. The fact it also makes superb drama, documentaries and wildlife programmes shows what a fantastic job it's doing.

David Attenborough has seen animals being hunted down before, baby elephants, whale calfs and wildebeest. I very much doubt anything in the animal world would "shock" the Maestro himself.

Once again, the BBC Natural History unit has smashed the ball out of the park. This is thee best nature programme I have ever seen and we are only one episode one. Gripping drama from start to finish. The only pity was that it wasn't Donald Trump (or Jeremy Corbyn) emerging from the beach and not the iguana young!

Mother Nature's own way of controlling the animal population, cruel as it may seem. What's truly sad is the way humans intervene to save one species over another thus creating an imbalance.

It is the snake's way of getting food.

How long before the the DM starts whining because a scene, that would probably caused the death of the people filming it, wasn't filmed live. The DM can't handle the fact that the BBC and David Attenborough, are world leaders when it comes to this type of TV

The film was praised by the DM and given 5 stars by their tv critic. What more do you want.

This episode was, but you can guarantee it won't be long before the DM and it's main news source Twitter, find something to have a go at

Absolutely phenomenal although I do wish they didn't add unnecessary sound effects i.e. when the dragons were fighting. We can see the power in these creatures without Hollywood style sound effects

pathetic headline, where does the DM recruit it's reporters?

Is this really any worse to watch than a lion running down a gazelle or something?

I saw this clip a few days ago. It's incredible! And to think I've been to that island... Roll on DVD so I can see the rest.

There is no coordination between the snakes just hunger driving them on.

Its almost as if nature has no trigger warnings and safe spaces. If only the lizard has a hashtag it would have been ok.

Ah bless - the poor snowflake snakes are having micro aggressions!

One imagines that 'Daddy' Iguana would simply bite these snakes' heads off?

Mark Duell......clearly we were watching different things as those snakes do not work as a pack, they hunt individually and don't share the food at the end, they hunt in extremely close proximity to each other but I can assure you that don't work as a pack.

Suprising, yes, that snakes hunt together and co-operate is a real revelation that none of us have seen before. Shocking, No, nature may be regarded as cruel by some, but every animal has to eat, it is just a normal function and perfectly endorses the "Survival of the fittist"...

Any adult who says they'll have nightmares after watching this are not right in the head. The kiddies on the other than - well that's a different matter. I was wondering what little uns would be thinking as it may have been a bit too much for them. Great programme.
