If the young man refused to eat and take his medication,how is the jail responsible for his death???? If they tried to force feed him or force him to take his medication,they would have been sued.So,according to his family,he didn't receive the help he needed so they are suing.lol lol Just how is the jail going to recognize that he is mentally ill and needs help???? Why did the family leave him in jail for 4 months instead of bailing him out? Just like the Brown,Gray,Gardner etc.,families,it's all about money not the family member that died!!!!

Denied bail for stealing a snickers? What did that cost the county? What will it now cost the county? We now will wait and see if they knew/understood he was "mentally ill," as the family says. If they did know they failed. But, if the family knew he was refusing his meds and food why didn't they speak up? Whatever the outcome the penalty didn't fit the crime.
So now the big question...
How many of you out there condemning him for stealing never stole ANYTHING in your life? A pen. Food. Paper. etc? Did you get put in jail and get denied bail for it? I doubt it.
We whites condemn blacks - and in a lot of circumstances they're deserving - but we don't have a clue what its like to live in their shoes, in their neighborhoods, without a father, in poverty without hope. We judge them based on our values, our neighborhoods, our way of life. Discrimination is real and until we each do our part to stop it we should be embarrassed for this country.
