Where was the FAMILY to offer help? Why is it someone else responsible? And I don't filling a law suit exonerates their responsibility.
He was held in jail because nobody could figure out how to pronounce his stupid first name and the police were trying to find experts to help.
your in jail. they are supposed to feed you. give you a cot, and take care of your health problems, they are full of crap. they ignore you. this is thr law their law. but they don`t heed it
They did feed him but he refused to eat. . . he had a cot. . . they gave him his meds but he didn't take them. . . he had mental issues but there are no beds available because there are so many mentally unstable people in the mental places already. What do you suggest?
The family attorney , where does the family get the money to hire these ambulance chasers .
The attorneys take cases on contingency in the hopes that the city will settle rather than go to trial. . then the attorney gets a huge cut from the settlement. It's the age-old 'trick' when it comes to cases like this. . . or those with a school district. . . or with a Hollywood person ---- it's cheaper just to pay a settlement than to pay a lawyer to take it to trial.
This young man was arrested for robbing a store ! The value of the merchandise he
stole is not this issue.
There are many issues to this case. Didn't anyone observe how quickly he signed the advisal of rights without reading them pre-arraignment? It would have been a clue as to his level of understanding of those rights. Or was he even given an advisal form? If he had his arraignment, with his disability, would he have been able to knowingly plead? Did he even have an arraignment? If the charge was an infraction, what was he doing in jail in the first place? If the charge was a misdemeanor offense, why didn't the judge plead not guilty for him and appoint a public defender and release him on his OR. There are some awesome public defenders out there. And the most important question of all is, where on earth was his family to support him no matter what the outcome would have been.

BLACK MAN'S HORRIFIC ACTIONS RESULTED IN A WIDOW AND FATHERLESS CHILDREN. PRETTY SURE THAT BLACK MAN COULD HAVE BEEN BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S SON, if he had a son. The DEAD WHITE POLICE OFFICER HAD A SON. That's what I care about. White Police Officer's lives matter. I don't care about thieves who don't care about breaking the law. Sorry, I have forgotten. Why did Barack Hussein Obama get awarded the Nobel Peace Prize?
Black lives matter.........to white lawyers trying to make a quick buck. So, the family can get a lawyer after the son is dead, but not when he was arrested? Why didn't their lawyer get the kid out of jail and why didn't the parents seek medical help for him? Easier to sue for millions after he's dead.
4 months in jail over a candy bar.......you are kidding me right? There seems to be no end to the stupidity in what goes on in this country.
