How tall is YOUR country? Men from the Netherlands top the table at just under 6ft while women from Guatemala stand at 4'10

I'm exactly 5'7 and always felt it was the perfect height for me.

So many short people. I feel like a giant some times x)

Nonsense i'm from Malawi and i'm 8"6'

Im a petite 5 ft 2 and a size 10 and in England would always buy the range in some shops for petite women. I´m 50 and my 13 year old son now towers over me and I have to look up to him. He tells me that all nice things come in small packages, I would like to be about 5 ft 7 but not any taller. I do wear heels no taller than 3 inches so at least I mangage to look 5 ft 5. Could never wear flats as I would walk like a penguin.

The Dutch Men are that height as a result of continually straining to look over the D y k e s, as for which ones! take yer pick...;-))

Tall Men and Tall Women of the UK should all be reproducing so we can move up that league table !

This study is meaningless because there is no mention of "sample size." How many people did they measure in their survey? What is the statistical error rate or standard error from the mean? I live in Minnesota, but I am of Scandinavian heritage. I'm 6' 1"

Im 177cm and I think Im a bit short at least most man I know are taller than me. Also I heard a lot of stories that being tall makes people life a lot worse in terms of comfort. Probably somewhere around 185 cm is the ideal height for a man and 175 for a woman. At least in Europe.

I got asked if i was Danish the other week walking around DC. Funny thing is im English and 6f4 haha!

The young women of today in England are well taller than that 5'4 average, you just have to go about in any town centre to notice this. Is the uni trying to appear unbiased. As for people getting taller I am 5'10 my wife 5'41/2 and our son is 6'2.

I didn't think our average height was 5'-9". I figured it was taller. I'm 6' even but my father is only around 5'-6". Everyone on his side of the family is short. My mothers family is mostly tall...

I'm slightly bemused by this as nobody in my family, is under 6ft 4, male, 5ft 11 female. Hmmmm. All british heritage. We do have one female who is 5 ft 7 but we dont talk about her. So can we now sign up as a circus family? :-)

...Yes Britain does have allot of small men ?......it's easy to count how many by noting White Range Rovers or Mercedes when you pass them.......Have fun !!

It's true. My husband is Swedish and 5'11" and every time we visit his family I am dwarfed by everyone on Sweden. I am 5'5" but even the women there tower above me lol

Do tall people live longer ?

How can you run an article about the tallest people then show a table with countries ranked by average height ? They are not the same thing. Give me strength !
