Dutch men are the longest, but yet the English men are heavier. How is that possible?

I'm always called small (5.6), my closest friends at school were 6.3, 6.4, 6.5 and 5.9 - and I was the only one with a driver's license and car. I had no problems with my leg space. Anyway, we're in nothern Germany, so I guess there's a lot of Danish and Dutch blood in us.

The tallest man I ever met in person was 6' 10", 2.08 meters. That was a legit giant for me considering I'm 5'3". I think I took "the taller, the better" a bit too far back then.

I wish I was taller as a short 5'1 female. Shopping for clothes is awkward as most trousers are too long, shirts hang on me like dresses, and finding the right long dress that isn't too long is a struggle. I envy tall women as they do not have to struggle. But I do like having small and versatile feet as I am able to wear a Women's US size 5½ shoes all the way to size 7 shoes. And shopping for shoes isn't a struggle.

How about Croatians, they are huge!

Strange ! I would have thought that the terrain in Holland would not have evolved tall people as it is not necessary too be tall. Then again in the land ot the tall grass the local natives - the Wherethehellarewe tribe, are very small, pygmies in fact,

IDK whats on my dad's paternal biological side but he stands at 6'8 and I stand at 6'2 (female).. It's not from the maternal side of his family, they are all short.

The availability of plentiful & relatively cheap food is what has spurred the growth, for that you don't need a study, what the study lacks is any linkage to longevity with height which I think is important to know given the increased prevalence of cancer as being a major cause of death nowadays.
