How tall is YOUR country? Men from the Netherlands top the table at just under 6ft while women from Guatemala stand at 4'10

Maybe our new citizens from the middle east has lowered our average.

Short girls have much more choice. :)

My two sons are 6'8" and 6'5" age 21 and 18 respectively. I'm 5'8" and their dad is 6'1"! My eldest son was always conscious of his height when he was at school as no-one (even the teachers) were taller than his shoulders! I always said to him that women love tall blokes and now he's older, he feels more comfortable with it.

Being a 6ft2 woman has many advantages. Not standing with my nose in peoples armpits on the tube is one of them :) but height is just a number, as long as you are nice I don't care if you are tall or short...just don't complain when I am standing in front of you at a concert, you should have come earlier

I'm 5ft 8in and in the UK I used to get comments about being really tall. When I moved to Holland I suddenly felt small. At that time I never owned a pair of trousers as they weren't long enough. I got my first pair here and they were too long.

Short men .......... is it just me ......... or sometimes do you feel they are trying too hard............

Can we tell the clothes manufacturers then that we are not all 5'2" with 18" waists and 28" legs, oh and 12" necks. People in far east must think we are odd shapes.

Obviously you've never been to Montenegro!!! One of the tallest in Europe!!

Proof of evolution. Women are more attracted to tall men, therefore their genes are the ones more predominantly being passed on.

Was surprised how tall Germans are, saw many men well over 6' 2"

I am assuming they did not conduct the survey in South Sudan. The men and women there are quite tall especially from the Dinka tribe.

I'm female, and 6'1". The worst thing is finding trousers and shoes that fit.

It's all to do with the cheese

We have many Dutch friends in their 60's and 70's who are generally pretty tall but you want to see their children, I doubt if there is one under 6ft and that includes the girls. We always joke about what they must feet them when they are small.

I don't know what's in the water here, but some of these men are giants! I'm talking over 6'5". They grow 'em big in these parts!
