This is nonsense. Working at an International airport I agree that the Dutch are the tallest but the Norwegians run a close second followed by the Germans . All good looking too...:) Fine boned faces, the women too.

At the risk of stating the obvious this is all down to diet and nutrition in childhood.Victorian children from large families were always short and cursed by thinks like rickets. Forget genetics if those very same children were born today into a two child family they would be 6" to 9" taller.

Being a shade under 5ft 9in made me look a bit odd when my then girlfriend stood 5ft 11in in her bare feet. Once she was popped into a pair of heels Karen ,where are you now ?,had a very commanding presence and looked like a statue of a greek goddess. A very nice lady ,she was also gifted with an IQ as high as she was tall, and she was a fantastic cook !

All the tallest men are essentially from the same, small European area. The height of Americans has dropped due to a huge increase of immigrants from Asia and Latin America. Compare Anglo Americans with the "tall" group and it will be identical...

Except Dutch people attribute their population of extremely tall people to nitrate saturation of their (much of it below sea levels) soils. Tall does not necessarily mean healthy.
