By these standards, it looks like, at least the Western World, is still going strong. Many problems such as disease and crop failure have been eliminated by science and genetic engineering. And despite some squabbling, NATO has held together pretty well led by the U.S. with the most advanced weaponry in the world.However, I doubt these are the only factors. It does seem like we are slowing down, becoming apathetic, losing our religion and submitting to others... I don't fear for my future but I fear for the following generations.

I believe that UCL should sponsor research into how research can be used to prove/disprove anything capable of being statistically researched.

All predatory sentient races will die out wherever they are in the galaxy. Survival is the key driving force. We killed to survive. This thinking carried over into our mind set and we now kill to get our own way. We invented weapons which are used. The next war will be the final one as it will involve worldwide nuclear and biological attacks. Humans are doomed. I would guess most of us will be extinct in 100 years. Have a nice day.

It's quite simple ... if you over populate, over consume the resources that sustain you, lose connection with your environment then the species will not survive. It used to be survival of the fittest that ensured a species evolved and survived now it is survival of the richest but theirs is the least useful group to survive.

The people in the first picture did not survive because they starved to death. Their bows did not work....,not with straight sticks and long slack bow strings.
