The focus on European immigration is simply to divert our concerns from the real issue.our culture will collapse within the next couple of decades, pulling up the drawbridge now will not alter the outcome.birth rates already indicate this.sad but true.Jetty
Society is always doomed because the system is based on greed rather than fairness or logic. Society is like a bleeding horse being whipped by its rider until it gives up and the rider jumps onto another horse. In a thousand years the entire planet and it's people will be as different as it all was 1000 years ago to us now and people of today will be thought of as idiots.Purcell2
"...resilience to factors including disease, warfare, and crop failure". Well, the evidence is there for disease in the failure of antibiotics; warfare is endemic on the politcal front between Right and Left both in the UK and in the EU. Finally, crop failure with our dependency on the importation of foodstufs to feed a burgeoning population of diverse and alien religions. Really, what chance do we have in the UK but to gain our independence and bring some sense into our existence. We certainly cannot find any hope in the comic assembly of the opposition parties with their intent of destroying us under the banner of stupidity.R. DaviesReply toCassio
Strange , those wishing for the EU to collapse, don't they realise that if it collapes we do too, and so will most of the first world. You know this will lead to a world war, sometimes red arrow all you like EU haters. But if that falls so do we, just remember that when your praying for it to fail.DavidOfWiltsReply toCassio
Surely if the EU is in any danger of collapsing from us leaving they should have entered the pre referendum negotiations in a spirit of cooperation not in one of clearly wanting to humiliate Cameron who was on their side. So much so he did not do one thing to prepare the country for exit so we have several months of added expense of the uncertain period we exit voters accepted would happen but thought was limited to two years. It was not unreasonable to demand a limit on entrants to the most populated country in the EU even if you count the UK but more so if you realise that 90% plus stay in England which is nearly double the density of other EU states. The truth that is becoming increasingly obvious was that the EU is not good or necessary for us but we are good and necessary for the EU.Clair Voyant
There are just too many people. The WHO & the UN, have let humankind down, they should have looked at the number of births that occur each day, years ago, around the world and done something about it. Births increase substantially year by year & no one governing body or country seems concerned enough to put quotas on their population (China tried) I look at humans and liken them to a plague of locusts on the planet moving into new-untouched areas & consuming everything in their path until its exhausted then move on to the next new area expanding ruthlessly until its all gone. If birth rates continue to go unchecked then I feel that in 50 to 100 years the planet will have lost most or all of its virginal rain forest in order just to feed and accommodate this new number of people. This continuous expansion of humans will have a great effect on the number of animals that go extinct, why should humans have the right to bread relentlessly at the expense of the animal kingdom. We're doomed.CynicalsidReply toClair Voyant
Always right Clair I should have married you,I remember being a member of a large political party and attending an education committee meeting ,there was proposals to close several primary schools due to "a fall in the birth rate "when I pointed out the figures lagged because the local maternity unit had closed and woman were travelling out of the borough to give birth I was derided I also pointed out the local town centre was full of babies in prams still derided look at the mess primary school places are in now.
