I was lucky enough to have seen Jia Jia in HK Ocean park many years ago. To be fair on the Pandas in captivity its through dedication from HK and China that these animals are no longer classed as extinct.Scotstlass
I have seen this panda. She seemed to have a lot of fun playing with her companion panda, lots of playful wrestling and we saw one of them climb a tree so that they could poop on the other panda's head. We have pandas here in Edinburgh, but they only share a cage briefly when the female panda is fertile. It's a shame because the Hong Kong ones really seemed to enjoy each other's company. Whilst I am not a fan of keeping most animals captive in zoos, pandas are downright lazy when it comes to breeding, and do need human intervention. Without our help they'd already be extinct.MrsBalfour
She looks so happy in the pic celebrating her 37th b'day. RIP as you go over the Rainbow Bridge sweet Jia Jia
