one percent less than that own most .. now who is greedy .. most people struggle

I still remember a quote from a versatile scholar and orator who once said ' The amount of wealth one has should be compared to a pair of slippers (footwear).If it is too small ,it will 'bite the foot '.If it is too big , it can topple a person while he is walking.

The world's owners should be regarded as a separate, predatory species.

I totally agree stupidity seems to be more prevalent now than ever before. A lot of it is to do with the fact the Internet and social media have given stupid people a platform! Also young people aspire to be millionaires through being a celebrity doing nothing .. It's sad.

If it were not for oil and moneyplus relegion there would be nothing to fight about.

I have been saying this for some time but I am not famous so I am not reported. Sadly, though reported, I have no faith in anyone in power taking heed of Mr Hawking as the banks that run the world pull the strings of the people in power unless you rule Turkey where you make sure the wealth goes through the government first

This article has attracted a lot of clever and informed commentary. Much more than the usual nonsense about royals/celebs or how the "chaff" are behaving in Benidorm.

Of course greed will doom humanity. That's a given.

The modern attitude to wealth seems to reflect the Yahoos of Gulliver's Travels who, even if there were sufficient for everybody to have plenty, would fight each other to the death in an effort to get it all.

Greed the root to evil

The world has been at War for how long ? We can go back to B.C. The world is still at it. However in this modern day we are so advanced in technology we are or will self destruct in the next few years.

Brexit came as a result of the final problem which was the that the EU was in question. exactly what is the EU is it a plan to create a European federation? is it a economic club? or what is it? those are the questions that need an answer and once that is done then it must be openly followed not behind closed doors leaving the people to ponder what the EU is.

Greed has always been around since the day's King Midas what is new is blindly allowing our culture to be dismantled from within. Such a self destructive course can only have been set by the greedy for the benefit of the avaricious.

It is not greed that will doom us. It is because what used to be considered shameful is now a badge of pride.
