Will greed doom us all? Stephen Hawking warns our current view of wealth could ultimately cause the human race to perish

Another doom-monger who won't shut up. Brexit won. End of. Shove the EU where the sun don't shine.

His comments just go to show no amount of brains can make up for being disconnected from reality of how the average person/people really feel, brexit is happening because of the elite like you Mr Hawkins, living in your ivory towers looking down on us mere ants working harder than ever before in a very dangerous world......

Here is a very clever man who has led a very sheltered existance, making comments on a subject he has little previous involvement in. He is basically right but his knowledge on this is basic.

Says Stephen Hawking, the very rich multimillionaire (£15 million plus).

Wasn't his last advise about Brexit and how we should stay in Europe so he can get his funding. What a joke - all he was thinking about then was money. He's not a genius that people think he is just got to much time to think - even when he talks about life in universe he's on about microbes n things. There obviously is intelligent life in the universe - as if we are the only beings!! It's an insult to intelligence.

So what, you can't live without money. We all have to struggle to make ends meet and if we are lucky enough to succeed we enjoy a little binge. Most of us give to charity when we can and most of us supported limited migration until the mass killings started. We are not bad people, in fact I think we are pretty dammed alright. So there Mr. Hawking.

Just because he excels at mathematics, physics and cosmology doesn't mean that he has any common sense. His terrible disability has magnified his fame.

....Says a chap who's a millionaire and has turned his own life into a Hollywood franchise....

Maybe Stephen should give away all his wealth as a demonstration of his commitment to this cause

This is a disabled glove puppet of the elite. The elite are all fabulously wealthy but still want more, they want our very lives as property as well. And yet they damn the middle class as greedy, because that's what they mean about inequality of wealth, not that some people (themselves) are richer than croesus, but that some own wealth the elite think should be theirs or under their control through a world government they control. They hate the aspirational cattIe, they want us all equal in our pens, they dream of the old days when they mass m urdered the Russian middle class in the name of communism. They want the masses equally enslaved, but they will always live as kings, somebody has to do it LOL. Through this glove puppet they say the aspiration of the middle class could destroy the world LOL Well the end of the world is taking its time then. I used to think he was a genius until he campaigned to remain in the EU.

Genius is no insurance against being dead wrong.

The human race perishing is probably the best case scenario for the planet.

The fact that he cant understand the popularity of US Presidential candidate Donald Trump says quite a lot. He seems to be quite out of touch on a lot of things and exists in some sort academic Cambridge bubble, (or parallel universe?) with all the other like minded Cambridge scientists who dont really inhabit the real world. The money these scientists think they get from the EU actually comes from the UK taxpayer in the first instance and there is no reason to think it will be reduced once we have left the EU or that scientific cooperation and collaboration with the EU will end. Presumably their socialist ideals favour a centralised pan European utopia along the lines of a USSR.
