A Boeing 777 plane suddenly got into the zone of strong turbulence before starting to descend

I can't believe that the crew didn't have prior warning of this turbulence. Usually its reported by pilots en route. Also why weren't people wearing seat belts as a matter of course? Very bad management by the airline and the crew.

The pilot didn't warn them to all wear seat belts? Are there actually special belts for babies? I always have my belt on while sitting. This is unbelivable

The joy of being a rebel is not putting your seat belt on when you are told to do so.Being a rebel can however result in broken bones etc.They are all Russians and will all be totally smashed out on vodka and wont have even noticed their wounds yet.

How did the pilots not forewarn the passengers of upcoming turbulence and to be seated with their belts fastened?! Everyone is saying have your belt fastened but on a long haul flight I get up and walk around and stand up to stretch my legs! Id place this in the hands of the pilots!

This illustrates the reason American pilots may act like autocrats toward passengers who don't follow the rules. Pilots live in fear of such a horror happening on one of their flights. That's why doctor Dao should never be allowed to fly again for sneaking back onto the United plane after being ejected the first time. That's when he was very properly dragged off like the crazy person he must be. I'm so fed up with idiotic, entitled-thinking passengers. Air flights are inherently dangerous! The crew are responsible for our safety. I will remember this video the next time I fly, and thank God for American pilots and airline companies who are so strict.

So many stories like this and these eejits really sit in their seats without their belts on? The airline should not be paying the costs for these people as it is their own stupid fault.

Those poor passengers. This is dreadful. Surely the Captain should have advised them to stay in their seats & secure their seat belts. would have been better to have had their sealbelts on & be seated.

First of all, never undo your seat belt unless absolutely necessary. Secondly, never fly Aeroflot.

Let's see which idiot will now try to sue the airline...using lines like "I didn't realise that 'Please fasten your seat belt', meant to put on the seat belt"

'Apparently those who were injured didn't have their seat belts fastened'... Says it all really - think you're above the rules, you pay the price...

Turbulence?.. Thats how Russians normally leave their aircraft.,as they do their Hotels.

For those of you confused by this and asking why the captain didn't know about this area of turbulence, google 'clear air turbulance' and it will help you to understand!

The crew should've ensured all passengers safety belts were fastened, but then this is aeroflop.

Aeroflot. You would not catch me on one of their planes. Why were the passengers walking around when they had hid such bad turbulence. They should have been told to sit down and put on their seat belts. HOw can people be that stupid and an airline so careless.

Why didn't they all have seat belts on and babies strapped in?

On my last long haul to Australia on a Airbus A380 we had bad Air turbulence over India and as I had a extra bottle or two of wine with my meal a couple of hours earlier, I felt so relaxed the turbulence did not worry me at all.
