2 points really - sounds like they're all going to go after compo and sue the airlines for basically climate - nothing they can do about that! The second is that, if they'd stayed fastened in (as you're supposed to unless you need to go to the loo), they'd have been fineIan
If a Russian does not see why he or she should do something, then typically the they won't.jac163
Blimey, Aeroflot has 777's ? Didn't realise their fleet was so up to date. The passengers should have been seated with seatbelts fastened. Must have been scary though!Piratepetecy
I had one of the worst turbulence i have ever experienced a few months ago. Captain said there is nothing he can do fly higher or lower because there would still be turbulence. The plane bounced up and down and rocked, you could hear the fear in some people. It's not a nice experience. You come to realize hows flimsy a plane is that a powerful undercurrent of air could flip the plane to its side and at that speed going straight the captain would be in a fight to get the plane under control. Even at takeoff as the plane leaves the ground you feel how really flimsy the plane is against nature and gravity because there is absolutely nothing you can do but sit in a very closed space the feeling is harsh. I actually have no fear of flying i just hate it because its long takes up half or your whole day, Checking in, Waiting for your gate, waiting on the plane, hours in a small space. going threw customs when you land, it's really depressingly long unless you own a Nintendo Switch lolnimue1Reply toPiratepetecy
I love flying as long as there is enough legroom, and the seats are comfortable. I have been in turbulence, and did find it a bit frightening, but in a good way! Once I was in a plane that had a difficult landing (due to cross winds I think), and we all broke out into spontaneous applause when we landed safely.Who really cares
This is all very sad indeed and I hope those injured make a speedy recovery. HOWEVER, I am a regular flyer and time after time I see this...the pilot will warn of turbulence and tell every one to fasten seat bels, but so many ignore the warning.....sorry but of they were not sat in their seats with set belts fasted it is not the airlines fault that people ignore common sense safety advice..Robbie Burns
What I can never figure out is why people need to unfasten seat belts. I can almost guarantee 100%,that an announcement will have been made, which would have said "WE ARE ENTERING AN AREA OF TURBULENCE". - Enough saidsweetkate
I had something similar, however warning lights issued prior and people were seated. Our plane was only a third occupancy so it made it worse. Such a horrible feeling and all through the flight your frightened. Since that journey I developed a fear of flying however I still fly but I'm extremely anxious when I do.Dignified lawman
