I used to fly Aeroflot between the U.K. and Turkey. You could always guarantee a cheap ticket and a row of three to yourself and there was only one reason for this...it was never a smooth ride and planes were falling to bits, rather like Egyptian Airlines. I don't suppose the pilots gave notice to buckle up owing to turbulence?

That like on my Lufthansa flight when cabin attendants forgot to secure those food trays. When we lift off with nose up there was a laud bang and all food was coming loose from shelves all over the floor. I had my own food, because you never know with airline food.

Triumph Ace, there had been no order to fasten their seatbelts by this point as the plane was still an hour away from landing, according to the article. Passengers were still walking around in the aisles! This is not the fault of stupid passengers, as your comment implies.
