The change of flight path, sending it 300 km North so it flew directly over the very small war zone together with the instruction to lower the flying height have never been explained. The audio tapes of ATC in Kiev were "lost" after they were handed over to the Ukrainian Security Services. Nuff said really.

Wow someone might end up dead for leaking this information. The Russian news media mentioned a Ukrainian jet bombing that airplane but the US was adamant it was a Russian backed attack.

I'm not a member of Putin's fan club. I simply try to see everything with my own eyes and to think with my own head. Every crime has its beneficiary party and its motives. Please, tell me at least one cause for pro-Russian rebels to commit such crime? But at least three causes for American owners of the Ukrainian democracy to do this was named in this article. I thing, witnesses were saying something about two aircrafts earlier, but nobody was listening to them.

Is this the Ukraine that the EU is trying to fast-track into joining the free-for-all that is currently going belly up? The EU is trying desperately to implicate Russia in the downing of this aircraft.... and it could even be that they knew about it all along.... assisted by the very dude who is telling US to remain in the EU. If it keeps Russia out, then he will be all for it..... this stinks..... I didn't believe for one minute that Russia was involved.

Well, on 3 July 1988 the guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes, operating (without permission from its own command chain and outside the rules of engagement) in Iranian territorial waters, deliberately shot down the Iranian Airbus Iran Air 655 with the loss of all 290 lives on board. The story was that this state-of-the-art missile crusier with its sophisticated Aegis computer system, designed to defend a carrier task force against dozens of simultaneous threats, mistook the Airbus for an F-14 fighter-bomber (the plane flown by Tom Cruise in "Top Gun"!) It seems very likely that the destruction of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie later that year (with a further 259 deaths) was intended as revenge for the shooting down of the Iran Air plane. And Lockerbie, in turn, was used as a pretext for repeated vicious attacks on Libya (which probably had nothing to do with it), culminating in the brief but violent war in 2011 which overthrew the Libyan government.

Very well happened that way. Certainly would explain why Ukraine's flight control records for the time of the incident have been kept under lock and key, when it was they under whose control the plane was diverted into the war zone. CIA involvement is always a possibility especially given the US-engineered and financed overthrow of the legitimate head of state with the aim of installing NATO at Russia's very doorstep.

The Truth
So it was reported that the fighter had air to air missiles at the time of the crash and the pilot originally said it had NO missiles but has changed his story and I am still waiting to hear why the air traffic controller was sent on holiday straight after the crash.

Murometts the Russians didn't instigate a coup in Ukraine to depose a democratically elected president it was the CIA who did. So blame the CIA not Russia. Look what's happening in your country. Look at Iraq, look how they are suffering. So long as you let the CIA in your country to destabilise Russia, your country will end up like Iraq because the Russians are more powerful than the Americans and will not let that happen.

No. It's this story that's more than "a wee bit inaccurate", as it's based on "evidence" from "witnesses" who claim, among other things, that they "saw" a fighter aircraft firing into the airliner's cockpit - while it was flying six miles above them......

Stan..........where are the witnesses then who saw a BUK firing a missile at it? From the ground with people living in the area. Plus the vapour trail which hangs around for some ten minutes after a launch. Where are these witnesses plus at least some video footage.
