Good luck registering with the Natl. Do Not Call List... Totally unresponsive.

Keep track of ALL the calls. Do NOT give out any info. File a complaint with an attorney who specializes in consumer law. Under the FDCPA, certain acts are illegal and you may be able to collect damages.

I worked as a telemarketer and every time I apply for a different type of job they do not even call me for an interview and I can't take doing telemarketing anymore. Anyways , the last two places I worked , even when we put these people on the do not call list , the company still recycled them.

The Do not call list does not work, all the companies I worked for recycle them even when we put them in the do not call list.

And the companies I worked for never let us display the name of our company or our real number. We had to give a false number and company name unless the appointment is set and the person comes to your home then you get the real stuff after you sign contract. And trust me being rude won't even get you on the do not call list, it will get you in the NI to be recalled but all the companies I worked for, they even recycle the "do not call list" numbers so it does not work

yes, it's all computerized now and when a person says hello, then the telemarketer talks, but there were countless people who beg to be put on the do not call list and I did click them to the do not call list but the owners of these companies don't care, they recycle the do not call list along with the not interesteds, no answers all back in for us to call again. Telemarketers have no control who they call, they sit at a computer and the name comes up, the telemarketer does not buy these names, the company owners do

If you really want to answer a call from a number you don't recognize, then do not say "HELLO" ....... or anything else....... just listen ..... and they will hang up. Personally, I never answer any calls from numbers I do not recognize.

When they ask for me I use a old lady voice and tell them that I passed away last week, then I start to cry I never, ever from them again.. or I answered the phone and say " Police Department" I just love playing with them. Or when I pick up the phone I say" The job is done and I'm cleaning up the blood. then hang up

I play with them. If it's a woman I will ask them what they are wearing and just talk dirty until they want to hang up on me. If it's a guy I do the same thing. They won't want to call me again.

their suggstions do not work. I have registered with the Do Not Call list and each time I get calls, I ask them to put us on the do not call list and they ignore the requests!

I used to love getting calls from the DNC for political donations or from Democrats trying to get me to vote one way. I would sit there and tell them what a worthless pile of vile Obama is or any other Democrat and they had to sit there and take it and they could not even defend their candidate.

I LOVE IT! Next time the DNC goons call, I'll tell them what a worthless piece of OBAMA they are ....... love it, love it, love it......

My answer script is simple: "We now charge fifty dollars a minute for incoming sales calls. We accept either Visa or Mastercard. If you have a valid Visa or Mastercard, we can continue the call at fifty dollars a minute."

This doesn't give you any way to get rid of Rachel and Her" credit card services" Illegal scam. I have talked to the F.C.C. and they tell me that they can't even stop them from calling us, because they are using untraceanble "spoofed" numbers when they call us.

If you call the number back, 99% of the time, there will be a recording saying the number is not in service.

Another effective method: "This is really not a good time." Of course, any telemarketer will respond with "What's a better time to call." Without hesitation I say "May 17th of 2019."

I was expecting a callback from a family member as I was heading out the door so when I picked up the phone and got a company "giving" me suit cases to buy JFK coins - I asked why I needed to buy anything, told them "no" after more rangling, then the girl went to get her supervisor who (I had no time for this crap) then kept asking me why I didn't I think it was a good deal since I didn't have to keep the coins (I knew there'd be a catch to returning them - if only spending the S&H), I said I really had to go - then he handed the phone back to the girl as he's saying: "This guy wants something for nothing - what an *******!" I'd hung up by that time as well, and went about my business - but obviously someone who actually BELIEVES there's "nothing to it"! Just say yes and all will be well,....NO! I have luggage and JFK coins - but they never asked that question - saving us time. They never called back.

Personally, I have a referee's whistle that I blow and then hang up. Rude? I don't care. I pay for the phone so that I can make calls ... not for someone to call me and try to sell me something. My time ... my decision to use the whistle -- time's up!

Don't answer, turn the phone off if you have to. The World will survive!

I sometimes say "This is not a good time. Could I get your home phone number and an inconvenient time to call you back?" However, I will admit that in frustration, after having had many robo-calls and telemarketers, I will blurt out...."You are pond scum, you are dirt, you are evil and much worse than annoying, calling me when I am on the Do Not Call list is illegal and that also makes you a criminal. Do not call here again, ever. Please get a real job. There is no one, I repeat no one, that wants to take your call. Do not call again."

I love it when they call - I go into dirty old man mode ;-) asking questions like what they are wearing do they have on panties, Have you ever had sex with a guy - want to? And if they don't get the message i just get more graphic after all they called me. like the one I got this week from the "IRS" saying they were going to take legal action against me - I asked for them to verify the phone number they were calling, could they please give me the social security number they were talking about, where they went to school because I could not understand a word they were saying (heavy hindo really!) could they please spell their name for me and their operator number and would he like to meet somewhere for man on man sex? they hung up wonder why? was it something I said? LOL try it it usually works let your inner perv come out after all they call you so there is no way you can be charged with making an obscene phone call. Have a great weekend all

A telemarketer told me that doing this actually WILL stop the phone calls.
I haven't wanted to waste my time trying it yet.
